am currently attending the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC). My major is International Studies
with a comparative studies focus. My concentrated regions are Africa and the Middle East. I have traveled to Honduras,
Mexico and Romania as well. My degree will prepare and help fulfill my passion for people; therefore, providing
a way for me to eventually to move over seas. I have dedicated my life to Christ and hope to obtain an occupation through
the Red Cross or another non-governmental organization by meeting the needs of many. May my life reflect a
love song unto my Lord through my love, sacrifice and service.

I plan to go to Kenya, Africa
the summer of 2008. The agenda is to provide physical shelter by building mud huts for the AIDS victims and
their families. Also, through my labor I hope that it opens a gateway of trust for the people of Kenya to
wonder why I have come so far to be with them. This curiosity of laboring love I hope will be an inlet into their life
stories. Full of fear, laughter, love, brokeness, life, death, war and peace...this is only the genesis of one girl's
greater global glimpse.
